People and Culture - Group Executive
What do you enjoy most about working at Aster Group? I love that no two days are ever the same. There is always something exciting happening within the Aster Group and we work with some fantastic people on some really exciting projects.
What do you find as the biggest challenge in Human Resources? The challenges change over time, currently our challenge is to recruit and retain exceptional talent in areas that have skills shortage nationally. It all starts with getting the right people in the right place at the right time with the right attitude.
What made you seek a career in the Club Industry? I have worked in many industries and I love the demographic of people you engage with in this industry. I love the connection to the community and the support Clubs provide to the community.
What is the best piece of advice you've been given? I can't narrow it down to one piece of advice. I live off quotes and sayings every day although the one piece of advice that has probably helped me the most throughout my career is to always place myself in the others persons shoes and treat them exactly as I would wish to be treated.
Describe yourself in a few words: Energetic, sociable (yes, some would just say talkative), passionate, loyal and probably a tad quirky.
Describe the future of the Aster Group: The future looks a lot different to today. I think we will have a very diversified business model with a sustainable business creating great initiatives for the community.
